Factors that influence our well-being at home
Recent studies have shown that if we want to improve our health and well-being, there is no other more relevant place to start this process than at home. And that because here we spent most of our life: around 90% indoor, from which 65% is spent at home. Although we are not aware of it, our home can visibly influence our well-being at home, it can impact our behavior and motivation to act, making it easier or harder to socialize, also helping to reduce or increase stress levels.
Did you know that our houses are responsible for almost every aspect of our life? The quality of sleep, the frequency of interactions with loved ones, the feeling of security and fulfillment and many other emotional, spiritual and physical aspects help us to transform, over time, a house into “home”.
It is good to start with this in mind when we want to bring joy into our lives, by bringing to the fore those factors that translate well-being into our homes. The design and quality of the materials used for building a house, but also the neighborhood it belongs to, considerably contribute to the health and well-being of the people who live there. For a unique and innovative result, we should look at these two constants both physically and socially, as well as mentally.
The ideal house, a sensory experience
Well-being at home is generated by light, the quality of the indoor air, thermal comfort, phonic insulation and generous, airy spaces. If all these are optimal adjusted and work synergistically, we can have a restful sleep, which visibly influences our health. Because sleep occupies a third of our life, we understand that light is the very meaning of our life, helping to regulate circadian cycles and, implicitly, maintaining a good mental health. Consequently, the spatial orientation of our houses, but also creating generous glazed spaces, with tall windows, will make them correctly dispose of sunlight, which will reach an optimal distance in the rooms, from the windows.
A good thermal comfort, which can be obtained with the help of a neighborhood power plant will contribute to a good rest, in a safe context and away from the risks associated with apartment power plants. At the same time, proper heating is important to maintain an optimal level of humidity, which does not encourage the appearance of mites and mold, which have the effect of respiratory or dermatological conditions.
Moreover, the lack of proper ventilation can lead to the onset of asthma, but also to fatigue, lack of energy, power of concentration, which can affect health and well-being at home. That is why the use of basalt wool for thermal insulation, but also a ventilated facade, will allow homes to breathe and have a very good vapor permeability.
The factors that influence our well-being at home – the social component
On the other hand, for people to be truly happy, we believe that the element of social connectivity plays a vital role in their well-being. Therefore, the spaces for relaxation and socializing must be generous, both inside the homes, through spaces dimensioned and optimized correctly, and outside them, whether we are talking about a balcony, terrace or outdoor garden. An important role can be played, for example, by a community center with gym or work office, as well as dedicated spaces in interior gardens (kindergarten, commercial areas), large parks with greenery and freedom and playgrounds. In this way, as long as the connection with nature, one of the basic needs of people, is met in a balanced way, they will stay active and, implicitly, healthy and happy.

They come to life when we connect to ourselves, to what really matters for us and for those who we love.
